The beginnings of freedom of speech in America started with Mary Katherine Goddard. She was a newspaper editor and the first lady postmaster. She published pieces ranging from writings by "Tom Telltruth" to the first printed copy of the Declaration of Independence. Mary Katherine did not engage in public controversies but remained an impersonal editor. If she were here today, it's not likely she could keep quiet. This blog highlights discussions amongst a small, but patriotic, group of friends.
The Dow rose over 900 points today and I'm already seeing the usual republitard gasbags on the blogs and on television taking credit for it with rhetorical high-fives and "oo-rahs" about the stunning recovery.

Shows how much attention I'm paying to what I do. Imagine my surprise when I hit the posting tab and this front page showed up. So, now that I"m here, howdy from Kansas and I'll try to be a little more profound next time! And I'll never say "howdy" again.
